Biofil Digester Construction

BIOFIL TOILETS SYSTEMS

(BIOFIL DIGESTERS)

Biofil toilets is a modern green innovation of the toilet system, which helps eliminate solid waste matter faster than the conventional septic tank and  Soak away(manhole). It treats solid waste in an environmentally friendly way, without putting the health of the society at risk.

HOW DOES THE BIOFIL TOILET SYSTEM WORK?

Biofil Toilet system is an enclosed chamber with an oxygen source which helps in the complete aerobic decomposition of fecal waste, which are biodegradable (faeces, toilet papers e.t.c). It rapidly separates solid wastes from the liquid waste where bacteria, fungi and other micro-organisms works on the solid waste without interference. The solid waste degrades aerobically while the liquid is passed through a treatment system in the digester and then passed to a drainage, field (garden) or collected as fertilizer for use on farms. This process is called the RAB process;

  • Rapid Separation of Solid and Liquid Waste
  • Aerobic decomposition of solid
  • Bio filteration of waste water.

WHERE CAN THE BIOFIL TOILET SYSTEM WORKS?

  • In places where water supply is low: The biofil toilet digester outperforms and replaces the conventional septic tanks in water closet systems
  • In Water log area: in places where manholes cannot be buried deep into the soil a biofil digester is best.
  • On Low Water retention soil: in some soil types, overtype they create a hard layer where water cannot be absorbed anymore overtime. In such a case a biofil digester is the best since the conventional soakway system cannot absorb the waste water.

MERITS OF USING BIOFIL TOILET SYSTEMS

Duration: Biofil Digesters last from a minimum of 20-30 years depending on the number of people using it.

Durability: Biofil Digester can be constructed on any soil type.

Odourless:  Biofil Digester is odourless and its waste water does not breed green algae because it passes through a treatment process.

Less Space: The biofil digester is much smaller than the conventional manhole. With volumetric size ranging from {2ft x 2ft x 4ft} to (4ft x 6ft x 3ft) depending on the site in question.

Cheaper: It is cheaper and economical when compared to the conventional manhole.

DEMERITS OF USING BIOFIL TOILET SYSTEMS

Uses Organic Soap only: The system does not accept the non-organic soap water. It only operates efficiently with organic soap for cleansing.

Non-degradable materials are not allowed: The system does not allow the flushing of latex materials (condoms), sanitary pads, pampers and any material that is not biodegradable. It accepts tissue papers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BIOFIL DIGETSERS

If the digester is small, won’t it get filled easily?

Answer: No it won’t. The complete aerobic decomposition decomposes a unit fecal waste within an average of 3days. This is as a result of the RAB process.

Do I need to dislodge?

Answer: No there will be no need for that. You will only need a maintenance check where additional decomposition accelerant will be added.

Why won’t it smell?

Answer: It won’t smell because, there is complete decomposition as a result of the organic compounds which would be introduced into the digester.

Can I use toilet bleach when washing it?

Answer: No, this will hamper the decomposition process by killing the enzymes. That is why the conventional manholes when dislodged have fresh fecals in them which have not decomposed.

What kind of soap will I use?

Answer: An organic soap which would be readily available on demand by customers should be used.

How long will a digester last?

Answer: A digester will last an average of 20-25 years depending on the mode of use.

Where can a Biofil digester be used?

Answer: it can be used in

  • Hotels
  • Houses
  • Hostels
  • Offices
  • Shopping Malls
  • Industries waste water treatment plant
  • Public toilets e.t.c

How much does a Biofil Digester cost?

Answer: This depends on the number of toilets and the number of people in the household.

Will there be a maintenance check?

Answer: Yes, after 3 months of use. When organic enzymes would be introduced.

How long does it take to install?

Answer: 48-52 hours maximum is needed for installation.
